VOLUNTEER 4 HOURS OF YOUR TIME ON SATURDAY to help us clean up the campground for our new season. Work and make new friends at the same time.

IF INTERESTED, let us know when you call to reserve - then register for your 4 hours of work when you check-in.

BE SURE TO BRING GLOVES, COMFORTABLE CLOTHES & SHOES. ALSO BRING YOUR OWN RAKES AND SHOVELS, if you have them. We will be clearing trails, getting flower beds ready, painting, and lots more.

***RAIN DATE FOR THIS EVENT is April 20-22. We have plenty of work to be done so if it doesn't rain,
we will do it both weekends.

--HAT competition and parade. Plus other competions, i.e, Mom daughter look-alike contest.
--KARAOKE and dancing for everyone. Can you sing??? It doesn't matter - it's fun anyway. Join the fun at our pavilion - Kids get first dance with Mom.

--11AM-1PM - ALL ACTIVITIES INVOLVE CHOCOLATE PUDDING - finger painting, swimming, eating contest, slip & slide.....YOU GET THE IDEA!!!! **PRIZES FOR THE COMPETITIONS.

--6PM-8:30 - CHOCOLATE DESSERT POTLUCK/KARAOKE PARTY. Bring or make your favorite chocolate dessert to share with your fellow campers. Then stay and join our karaoke singing/dancing party - you need to dance off those chocolate calories. It will be a YUMMY night. FUN FOR ALL!!!!
--8:30 MOVIE (TBA) - Snacks, popcorn and sodas available at store.

BRING CLOTHES TO DRESS DAD UP FOR OUR MS. MOUNTAIN LAKE BEAUTY CONTEST ON SATURDAY EVENING. WINNING DAD RECEIVES $10 GIFT CERTIFICATE FOR STORE. Come on Dad....let the kids have fun. We'll have the RED CARPET ready!

--11:00AM - WAGON RIDE AROUND CAMPGROUND. Our warriors shoot from the wagon, but you can ambush us from your vehicles or campsites. We're going to get you wet - we show no mercy! Please stay in your camper if you don't want to play.
--5:00-7:00PM - MORE WATER GAMES and relay races. We get you wet all over again. Prizes for winners. Make some new friends and have a lot of fun.
--8:30PM - MOVIE (TBA) - Snacks, popcorn and sodas available at store.

--6-7PM - LUAU dinner - Reserve your tickets (limited amount). MENU (TBA) (but Pork BBQ plus sides are a good guess). Price will be announced closer to event.
--7-10PM - HAWAIIAN LUAU POOL PARTY with live DJ. Lots of dancing plus Talent Show at 8:00PM. Activities will include hula hoop contest, Limbo (how low can you go?), hula lessons and lots more.
**Wear your hula skirts or Hawaiian attire and win a prize for best Hawaiian costume. BRING LOTS OF ENERGY - OUR LUAU WILL BE ROCKING!!!

--2:30-3:00 - Homemade Pirate Ship competition at the beach. Must float to compete. Most original.
--5:30 - Pirate games including peg-leg races, walk-the-plank, and catch the cannonball. Prizes!
--6:30 - FAMILY PIRATE TREASURE HUNT with real pirate map (OK MATEYS - WE NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET TO FIND THE PIRATE TREASURE BEFORE THEY DO - ARRGH!!!!). Every family finds their own treasure chest. Wear your costumes - judging will be at the end of the Treasure Hunt.
--8:30 - MOVIE (TBA) - Snacks, popcorn and sodas available at store.
--PIRATE GLOW WAGON RIDE (following movie) - Be sure to wear your pirate duds and something that glows - those pirates never had it this good!!

--4:30-6:00 - CRAFTS - We will make Christmas ornaments and hang them on our Christmas Tree so we are ready for Santa when he gets here.
--6:00 - SANTA IS COMING!!! Santa will be riding his sleigh to each campground. Be sure to be home so you don't miss him. I'm sure he will let you ride through your campground in his sleigh.....PLUS I'm pretty sure he will have his sack with him - and you know what that means. Remember, he is making his list - so be on your good behavior.

--Western HAYRIDE thru the campground (sure hope there aren't any outlaws roaming around!). Be sure to wear your western duds. Hopefully, we will have time to visit each campground.
--Every cowboy/cowgirl will be deputized (just in case we have to form a posse).
--Quick-draw contest
--KARAOKE HO-DOWN on Saturday night - be sure to practice your favorite country song and BRING YOUR DANCING SHOES.
--PRIZE for best-dressed cowboy/cowgirl - contest judged at Ho-Down!

August 10-18 2012 Nine days of food,fun,shows and rides for the whole family. In Lewisburg WV. About hour and half from Summersville.

--5-8PM - 50'S SOCK HOP. COME LISTEN TO "A BLAST FROM THE PAST," AND DANCE SOME OF THE OLD FUN DANCES like the Twist, the Jitterbug, the Bop and the Stroll. Also, take time to enjoy all the old cars and talk to their owners. Event takes place in front of store and pavilion.

--Trick or Treat Wagon Ride around campground - be sure to have plenty of candy for all the ghosts & goblins.
--Marshmallow Roast at the Bonfire - Big Yummy marshmallows!!! While we are there, we can share ghost stories.

STAY THROUGH MONDAY AND TAKE A FALL COLOR WAGON RIDE THROUGH OUR PRIMITIVE CAMPGROUND - it should be beautiful.
